Wed. Sep 15 Ready, Set, Go! - From Go Bags to Stay Kits 6:30-7:30PM
Fire season is very much upon us and it is critical that we all be prepared to keep ourselves and our communities safe. Extreme heat and drought are making fire season longer and more severe. This month's presentation will focus on how we, specifically on the Coastside, can be prepared for fire on an individual and community level.
Presentation will be lead by David Cosgrave, Division Chief for the Coastside Fire Protection District with participation from various members of Coastside CERT (Community Emergency Response Team). This will be an excellent time for Coastside residents to learn when they should leave or stay, how to be prepared for smoke, and how to look for and create defensible spaces around their homes.
