We are a group of local residents with the mission of helping each other to age in place. We do this by providing access to support services that help people engage in community activities and continue to live independently. We are a membership-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

We started in 2015 as Sequoia Village, serving members in Belmont, San Carlos and Redwood City, including Redwood Shores. In late 2016 we launched Mid Peninsula Village to serve the communities of San Mateo, Burlingame and Hillsborough. As we grow we hope to eventually create villages serving other parts of San Mateo County.

Villages operate nationwide. You can connect with a Village in your area through the Village To Village Network.
Apply now! Please fill out our Membership Application and send it to Villages of San Mateo County, P.O. Box 813, San Carlos, CA 94070, or scan and email it to
